Villas of Carillon Gate - Visitor Access Questions

Dear Residents,

In the last few days, we have received a few inquiries related to the Villas of Carillon gate and visitor/vendor access. We wanted to take a moment to address each of these topics individually.

Amazon drivers are unable to get into the Villas of Carillon.

Amazon uses their own technology (referred to as Key for Business) to gain access to the Villas of Carillon. Key for Business operates independently of the Villas of Carillon access control system. We reported the issue to Amazon, and they are scheduled to repair their device today. We will provide an update once their device is back online. We have also escalated the behavior of specific Amazon drivers to their customer service department, so that they may address the behavior with their staff and provide the appropriate training. Going forward, if you have questions/concerns related to Amazon’s ability to access the property, please contact Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com. All other Amazon delivery and customer service matters must be directly resolved between the resident and Amazon.

Tampa Bay Times drivers are unable to get into the Villas of Carillon.

Tampa Bay Times has the appropriate access they require to deliver papers to your home. As a courtesy, we contacted Tampa Bay Times to ensure their drivers were following their company policies and procedures in order to guarantee uninterrupted delivery service. If you observe an individual delivery person who drops off at a central location inside the gate rather than to your home, contact Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com.

Some residents don’t know how to get back into the Villas of Carillon after leaving the community on foot (for a walk, jog, bike ride, etc).

Every unit owner and tenant in the Villas of Carillon was provided a Gate Entry Packet which included instructions on how to use the pedestrian gate. This included a personalized 4-digit pedestrian gate access code. If you misplaced your paperwork and/or simply can’t remember your pedestrian gate access code, please contact Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com. She can provide you with your personalized code (after confirming your identity). She can also provide you with other options to use the pedestrian gate such as purchasing a wristband here.

We encourage all residents who have questions about the access control system to contact Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com. We’ve observed that those who have done so, have had their issues resolved to their satisfaction. As a reminder, all residents can access the community via their vehicle RFID tag. Additionally, residents have 3 different ways to grant access to their visitors. If you have questions about unique circumstances and which of these 3 access methods may work best for you in a given circumstance, please contact Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com.

Finally, the Association is working with our vendor in an attempt to implement a change to Temporary Invite Codes (QR codes) in order to extend the time frame from 24 hours to 7 days. We will update the community as more develops on this topic.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Villas of Carillon Board of Directors
