Villas of Carillon - Gate Update
Updated: May 26, 2022
Dear Residents,
We're pleased to announce that the front entry gate repairs and upgrades are nearly complete and we are planning for the system to "go live" on Monday, June 13th.
Here are a few things you'll need to know (and do) before then.
Setup Your Cell Gate Account and Verify Your Call Group Settings
By now, you have received email notification from alerts@cell-gate.com with instructions on how to:
Download the CellGate App
Create your CellGate (TrueCloud) password
Log In to CellGate (TrueCloud)
Add Users to your Call Group
Answer Visitor Calls from the Front Gate
For your convenience, a "how to" video is available here. If you require further assistance, contact Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com.
Pick Up Your Gate Entry Packet
Management & Associates will be on site at the following times to hand out Gate Entry Packets to residents:
6/6 (Mon) 6pm - 7pm
6/7 (Tues) 6pm - 7pm
Packets will include:
Requested RFID Tag(s) for vehicle access
RFID Tag Installation Guides (tags must be placed on the passenger/right side)
Notice of Resident Visitor Responsibility
New 4-digit code for Front Entry Pedestrian Gate (keys will no longer be used)
NOTE: Separate packets will be issued to owners and their tenants.
We strongly encourage all owners and tenants to pick up their packets in person!
What You Need To Bring When Picking Up Your Packet
Proof of Vehicle Registration - If not already provided during the online Vehicle Registration & RFID Tag request process.
NOTE: There were those who did not upload their vehicle registration when requesting RFID tags online. The Association will require those individuals to bring their vehicle registration or they will not be issued tags. If you are unsure, bring your registration just in case.
Reminder: vehicles must be registered to a Villas of Carillon address.
The only exceptions include:
Owner unoccupied properties (i.e. rental property/other primary residence)
Government issued vehicles (proof of government registration required)
Company Issued Vehicles (proof of company registration required)
Payment for RFID Tag(s) - Only check payments will be accepted
The balance owed will be applied to the account for those who do not make payment at the time of packet distribution.
What if I can't pick up my packet in person?
Unless you specify otherwise by contacting Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com, you will receive your packet in the mail at your permanent mailing address on file with Management & Associates. The balance owed will be applied to your account. NOTE: You will only receive your packet if your have provided a valid vehicle registration.
Those who did not provide valid vehicle registration when requesting their tag(s) online or have not yet requested their tags, will not receive a packet and will not be able to enter the community starting on 6/13 until they have done so.
Test Your RFID Tag(s)
NOTE: the gates will be held open until 6/13, but once you receive your packet on 6/6 or 6/7 (if picked up in person), you can test that your tag is working.
As soon as you receive your tag, install it on your vehicle (refer to the RFID Tag Installation Guides provided in your packet)
Slowly drive up to the gate with your window rolled down.
As you approach the gate, listen for the tone and "Access Granted" response from the Watchman system.
Test Visitor Access
Access the email you received from alerts@cell-gate.com (refer to the information above). Be sure to check your junk folder. NOTE: you would only receive this email if you registered your vehicle and requested and RFID tag via our website.
Create your Cell-Gate (TrueCloud) password and login to the web application via your computer.
Verify your Call Group is Setup
By Default:
Call Group 1: All users are setup to receive calls from the Cell Gate App (assuming you care to use the mobile app, have it installed and are logged in using your Cell Gate account.
Call Group 2: Left empty.
Call Group 3: Contains the phone number you input during the Vehicle Registration & RFID Tag online form.
You can modify your Call Groups as you see fit. The Watchman can call up to 9 people in 3 different tiers (call groups). The first two Call Groups are reserved for Cell Gate app users. The third call group is reserved for up to 3 phone numbers, all of which will be called simultaneously if access isn't granted within the first two tiers.
Test Visitor Access using Call Groups
At the Watchman system, select "Directory"
Scroll to find your name in the Directory
Select your Name
Watchman will first call you via the CellGate app if you have it installed on your mobile device and are you are logged in. Click here for information about granting visitor access from the CellGate app.
If you do not have the CellGate app installed on your phone or you simply don't answer the call from the CellGate app, Watchman will call you at the phone number(s) you listed in Call Group 3. The call will come from 972-231-1999. NOTE: it will be easier to test this function is working properly and more convenient in the long run if you list a cell phone number (rather than a land line) in Call Group 3. Click here for information about granting visitor access from your cell phone or land line.
Answer the call and grant access.
Listen for the tone and "Access Granted" response from the Watchman system.
Test Visitor Access using Temporary Invites (QR Codes)
Create a "Temporary Invite". NOTE: Temporary Invites (aka Guest QR Codes) can only be created from the CellGate mobile app. Follow the instructions located here to create a Temporary Invite.
Share the QR Code with yourself via text message.
Open the QR Code by clicking on the link in the text message.
Select "View" to view QR Code
At the Watchman system, select "Guest QR Code"
Hold your cell phone with the QR Code up to the Watchman displaying the QR Code inside the yellow brackets.
Listen for the tone and "Access Granted" response from the Watchman system.
We strongly encourage you perform all of the above steps. Following these steps will help you understand how the system works in order to facilitate entry for you and your guests. If you are having trouble, contact Tara Martinez at tmartinez@mgmt-assoc.com or contact a neighbor.
