Villas of Carillon - Gate Update
Dear Residents,
As many of you have noticed, the upgrades and repairs to the main entry gate and security system are underway.
There is still work to be done. Our vendor is estimating completion of the repairs and remaining installation work by the end of next week (or early the following week depending on weather).
Our "go live" date depends on a few factors, but rest assured there will be follow-up communication before we do. We will not restore the gates into operational mode before then.
Below are answers to some common questions pertaining to the new system.
Why haven't I received my RFID tags?
Some of you have called inquiring about the status of your RFID tags, expressing concern over being denied access to the community.
The bulk tag order was delayed as many residents submitted their vehicle registration and RFID tag requests after the 3/25 deadline. The tags have now been ordered and will arrive next week at the Property Management office.
How will the RFID tags be distributed?
For the convenience of our residents, the Property Manager has agreed to schedule 3 or 4 one-hour time slots to personally distribute tags to the residents at the Villas of Carillon Clubhouse. The Property Manager will also accept payments (via check) at that time. No other forms of payment will be accepted in person or otherwise.
A follow up communication will be sent next week with specifics.
I can't make it to pick up my tags in person. What do I do?
If you own a unit in the Villas of Carillon, but you do not reside on the property, your tags will automatically be mailed to you.
For those who reside at the property (full time or part time) but do not pick up your tags in person, the tags will be mailed to you. The balance due for your tags (if any) will be applied to your account and due along with your next months HOA payment. Late fees and interest charges will apply.
There is no need to email or call expressing your desire to have your tags sent via mail or your inability to pick them up in person. This will be handled automatically.
How do I install my RFID tags when I receive them?
Manufacturer instructions for installing Windshield and Headlight Tags are provided on the Vehicle Registration & RFID Tag Request page.

Tags should be installed on the right side of the windshield or the right headlight for optimal performance.
What is the protocol for Visitors?
All gate entry systems are designed to facilitate entry for residents. They are also designed such that visitors (non-residents) must stop and explicitly be granted access to the property by a resident of the community.
Visitors will be expected to stop and call the resident using the directory in order for the resident to grant them access either via the Cell Gate smart phone app (which will show you a picture of your visitor) or by pressing a specific number on your phone. NOTE: residents can grant access via their cell phone from any location.
Other options are available for granting temporary access in a resident's absence or if a resident will knowingly be unable to receive a call (house sitters, dog watchers, house cleaning services, etc)
These options will be explained in the coming weeks and will accompany information related to the general use of the new system,
There is no need to email or call requesting further information or explaining individual needs related to visitors until the additional information has been provided.
