Villas of Carillon - Entry Gate Repaired

Dear Residents,

We’re happy to report that the faulty RF receiver has been replaced and the entry gate is back in operation.

The Association has applied a hold open schedule to both the main entry and exit gates in order to reduce wear and tear on the mechanical operators and move traffic off of Trinity Lane during peak hours as efficiently as possible.

Main Exit will be open on Mon-Fri from 7am to 9am

Main Entry will be open on Mon-Fri from 4pm to 6pm

* At this time, there is no plan to implement a schedule for the secondary (south) exit gate due to the likelihood of traffic flow confusion. Visibility is also slightly more obstructed as you exit this gate, particularly when looking northbound on Trinity, therefore the gates will continue to encourage slow passage from our Community onto Trinity Lane.

We've observed an increase in the number of residents (in vehicles) stopping at the call box keypad in order to gain entry. This causes a backup on Trinity Lane and increases the risk of accidents occurring on the main road or as residents attempt to pull off the main road, around those vehicles stopped at the call box. This congestion also increases the danger to pedestrians crossing the Villas of Carillon entry. The objective of the open hold schedule, during these peak times, is to move traffic off the main road and into the community more efficiently and safely. Please remember to always use caution and watch for pedestrians as you enter the community.

We've also observed an increase in the number of pedestrian residents using the call box keypad to gain entry through the vehicle gate, implying that these residents either don't have a key to the pedestrian gate or simply do not carry one. The Association would like to remind residents that the pool key also unlocks the pedestrian gate to the community. Please use this key and the pedestrian gate rather than the keypad and vehicle gate when entering the community on foot to avoid unnecessary wear and tear on the moving mechanical vehicle gate components and the risk of injury due to vehicular traffic.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Best Regards,

Villas of Carillon Board of Directors
